Water Pump Installation Instructions for L2350DT and L2350F Engine Models 1A021-73035 and 1A021-73030

Tools and Materials Required:

     -Pliers
     -Torque wrench

   • Coolant catch pan
   • Hose clamp pliers (optional, but recommended)
   • Gasket scraper or razor blade
     -Cleaning cloths or rags

3. Materials:

   • Replacement water pump (model 1A021-73035 or 1A021-73030)
   • New gasket (if not included with the pump)
   • Engine coolant (compatible with L2350DT/L2350F engines)
   • Thread sealant (if necessary)

Installation Steps:

1. Prepare the Area:

   • Park the vehicle on a flat surface and engage the parking brake.
   • Allow the engine to cool completely.

2. Drain Engine Coolant:

   • Place a coolant catch pan under the radiator and open the drain valve to remove the old coolant.

3. Remove the Old Water Pump:

   • Disconnect any hoses attached to the water pump using the hose clamp pliers.
   • Remove the bolts securing the old water pump with the socket wrench.
   • Carefully detach the old pump, making sure to remove any gasket material from the mounting surface.

4. Install the New Water Pump:

   • If required, apply a thin layer of gasket sealant to the surface.
   • Place the new gasket onto the engine mounting surface.
   • Position the new water pump onto the gasket and secure it with bolts. Use the torque wrench to tighten bolts to the manufacturer’s specifications.

5. Reconnect Hoses:

   • Reattach any hoses and secure them with hose clamps.

6. Refill Engine Coolant:

   • Pour the new coolant into the radiator and reservoir, following the vehicle’s specifications for the coolant mixture.

7. Check for Leaks:

   • Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes while checking for leaks around the water pump and hoses.

8. Final Check:

   • After the engine reaches operating temperature, turn it off and check the coolant level, adding more if necessary.
