Product Installation Instructions for CDI Unit

Tools Required:

1. Socket Wrench Set - For removing and securing bolts.
2. Screwdriver Set - Both flathead and Phillips to accommodate different screws.
3. Pliers - For gripping and manipulating wires.
4. Wire Strippers - If wire connections need to be made or modified.
5. Electrical Tape - For insulating any exposed wires after connections.
6. Multimeter - To test the electrical system and ensure proper installation.
7. Safety Goggles - To protect your eyes during installation.
8. Gloves - To protect your hands from sharp edges or hot components.
9. Torque Wrench (optional) - For ensuring bolts are tightened to manufacturer specifications.

Installation Steps:

1. Preparation:

   • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat, stable surface and turned off.
   • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.

2. Remove Old CDI Unit:

   • Locate the existing CDI unit on your ATV.
   • Use the socket wrench and screwdriver to remove any bolts or screws fastening the old unit.
   • Carefully disconnect any wiring harnesses connected to the old CDI unit.

3. Install New CDI Unit:

   • Position the new CDI unit in place.
   • Connect the wiring harnesses from the new CDI unit to the vehicle's wiring system, ensuring all connections are secure.
   • If necessary, use wire strippers to prepare any wires that need connecting.
   • Use electrical tape to insulate any exposed wires.

4. Fasten the CDI Unit:

   • Secure the new CDI unit with the bolts or screws removed earlier, using the socket wrench and screwdriver.
   • Ensure everything is fastened securely to avoid vibrations during operation.

5. Reconnect Battery:

   • Reattach the negative battery terminal.
   • Make sure all connections are tight to prevent issues.

6. Testing:

   • Start the vehicle and allow the engine to idle.
   • Use the multimeter to check for proper voltage output from the new CDI.
   • Test the throttle response and ensure the engine reaches the expected RPM of 9000.

7. Final Checks:

   • Inspect all connections and screws to make sure everything is secure.
   • Clean up any tools and materials used during installation.
