Motorcycle Oil Filter Installation Instructions

Installation Overview:
This oil filter is designed for easy installation and compatibility with multiple motorcycle models. Follow the steps below to replace your oil filter and enhance your motorcycle's performance.

Required Tools:

1. Oil filter wrench (optional but recommended)
2. Socket wrench set
3. Screwdriver set
4. Oil drain pan
   5.Clean cloth or rags
5. New oil (recommended for your specific motorcycle model)
6. Gloves (to keep your hands clean)

Installation Steps:

1. Preparation:

   • Ensure the motorcycle is on a stable surface and the engine is turned off and cool.
   • Wear gloves to protect your hands.

2. Drain the Oil:

   • Place the oil drain pan under the engine to catch old oil.
   • Remove the drain plug with a socket wrench and allow oil to completely drain from the engine.

3. Remove the Old Oil Filter:

   • If using an oil filter wrench, fit it onto the old oil filter and rotate it counter-clockwise to remove it.
   • If you don’t have an oil filter wrench, you can use a strap wrench or follow a similar method to loosen and remove the filter by hand.

4. Prepare the New Oil Filter:

   • Take the new oil filter and apply a small amount of new oil to the rubber gasket. This helps with sealing and makes the installation easier.

5. Install the New Oil Filter:

   • Screw the new oil filter onto the engine by hand. Ensure it is secure but do not overtighten.

6. Reinstall the Drain Plug:

   • Once the oil has fully drained, reinstall the drain plug and tighten it securely with a socket wrench.

7. Add New Oil:

   • Remove the oil filler cap on the engine and pour in the appropriate amount of new oil as specified in your motorcycle’s user manual.
   • Replace the oil filler cap securely.

8. Check for Leaks:

   • Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Check for any leaks around the oil filter and drain plug.
   • If no leaks are present, you are done!
