Installation Instructions for the 70cc Big Bore Cylinder Kit and Head for 50cc 47mm 2-Stroke Engine

Tools Required:

1. Socket wrench set
2. Screwdriver set (both flathead and Phillips)
3. Torque wrench
4. Piston ring installer or soft mallet
5. Gasket scraper or razor blade
6. Clean rags or paper towels
7. Engine oil (for lubrication)
8. Torque specifications chart (check the specific measurements for your engine)
9. Safety goggles and gloves

Installation Steps:

1. Preparation:

   • Ensure the engine is cool and the scooter is on a stable surface.
   • Disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical shorts.
   • Remove any body panels or covers that obstruct access to the engine.

2. Remove Old Cylinder and Head:

   • Using the socket wrench, remove the bolts securing the existing cylinder head.
   • Carefully lift off the old cylinder head and set it aside.
   • Remove the bolts securing the cylinder, and gently pull the old cylinder off the engine block.
   • Take note of the orientation of any components for reinstallation.

3. Clean the Engine Block:

   • Use the gasket scraper or razor blade to remove any old gasket material from the engine block.
   • Clean the surface thoroughly with a rag or paper towel to ensure a good seal for the new gasket.

4. Prepare New Cylinder Kit:

   • Lubricate the piston and rings with engine oil to ensure smooth operation.
   • If applicable, install the piston into the new cylinder carefully.

5. Install New Cylinder:

   • Place the new cylinder onto the engine block, making sure the alignment is correct.
   • Hand-tighten the bolts to secure the cylinder, and then use the torque wrench to tighten to the manufacturer’s specifications.

6. Install New Cylinder Head:

   • Place the new cylinder head on top of the cylinder.
   • Secure it using the bolts from the old assembly.
   • Again, use the torque wrench to tighten the bolts according to the specifications.

7. Reassemble Engine Components:

   • Reconnect any parts that were removed for access, including any hoses or electrical connections.
   • Reinstall any body panels or covers that were taken off.
