Installation Steps:

  1. Preparation: Ensure the motorcycle is on a stable surface. Disconnect the battery and remove any necessary bodywork or panels for access to the engine.

  2. Remove the Cylinder: Use the socket wrench to detach the cylinder head. Carefully lift off the cylinder from the engine.

  3. Remove the Old Piston: Unscrew the retaining clips from the piston pin and slide out the old piston.

  4. Clean Up: Use a clean cloth or rag to wipe down the cylinder and check for any wear or damage. Clean any old gasket material using a gasket scraper.

  5. Install New Piston:

    • Apply a small amount of engine oil on the piston rings and piston.
    • Use the piston ring compressor to compress the rings around the new piston.
    • Insert the new piston into the cylinder, ensuring it’s oriented correctly as per your engine specifications.
  6. Reattach the Cylinder: Carefully place the cylinder back onto the engine. Secure it with bolts using the torque wrench to the manufacturer's specified torque values.

  7. Reassemble Other Components: Reattach any other parts that were removed, including the cylinder head and exhaust.

  8. Final Checks: Ensure all bolts are tightened and nothing is out of place. Reconnect the battery.
