Tools Required:

  • Socket Set (including socket wrench)
  • Screwdrivers (flathead and Phillips)
    -Torque Wrench
  • Gasket Scraper or Razor Blade
  • Clean Cloth or Paper Towels
    -Carburetor Cleaner
    -Safety Goggles
  • Gloves

Installation Steps:

  1. Preparation:

    • Ensure the engine is turned off and cool to the touch.
    • Wear safety goggles and gloves for protection.
  2. Remove the Carburetor:

    • Disconnect the carburetor from the intake manifold by unbolting it with the appropriate socket size.
    • Remove any attached fuel lines and throttle linkage carefully.
  3. Clean the Surface:

    • Use a gasket scraper or razor blade to remove the old gaskets from the carburetor base and intake manifold.
    • Clean the surfaces thoroughly with carburetor cleaner and a clean cloth to ensure no debris or old gasket material remains.
  4. Install New Gaskets:

    • Place the new float bowl gaskets and metering block gaskets provided in the set onto the respective areas of the carburetor.
    • Ensure that the gaskets are properly aligned and seated to prevent any leaks.
  5. Reattach the Carburetor:

    • Carefully position the carburetor back onto the intake manifold.
