Oil Seal Installation Instructions for Chainsaw (Compatible with MS170, MS180, 017, 018)

Tools Required:

1. Screwdriver Set (Flathead and Phillips)

   4.Clean Cloth or Rag
3. Lubricant (optional)
4. Replacement Oil Seal

Installation Steps:

1. Preparation:

   • Ensure that the chainsaw is turned off and disconnected from any power source.
   • Clean the working area and gather all necessary tools.

2. Remove the Chainsaw Cover:

   • Using the appropriate screwdriver, remove the screws securing the chainsaw cover.
   • Carefully lift off the cover to expose the internal components.

3. Remove the Old Oil Seal:

   • Locate the old oil seal within your chainsaw.
   • Use pliers or a flathead screwdriver to gently pry out the old seal. Take care not to damage the surrounding components.

4. Clean the Area:

   • Wipe the area where the new oil seal will be installed with a clean cloth to remove any dust or debris.
   • Ensure that the surface is smooth and free from any old sealant or grease.

5. Install the New Oil Seal:

   • Before installation, apply a small amount of lubricant to the edge of the new oil seal (optional).
