Installation Instructions for Replacement IMU Module with Ribbon Cable for D Mavic 2 Pro and Zoom

Tools Needed:

1. Screwdriver Set

   • A set of precision screwdrivers for small screws, preferably with a Phillips head.

2. Plastic Pry Tool

   • To safely open the drone casing without causing damage.

3. Tweezers

   • For handling small components during installation.

4. Anti-Static Wrist Strap

   • To prevent static discharge that could damage electronic components.

5. Small Container

   • To keep screws and small parts organized during the installation process.

Installation Steps:

1. Power Off the Drone
   Ensure that the aircraft is completely powered off and the battery is removed to prevent any electrical mishaps.

2. Remove the Drone Casing
   Use the plastic pry tool to carefully open the casing of the drone. Be cautious not to damage any clips or internal components.

3. Locate the IMU Module
   Identify the existing IMU module within the drone. This is usually positioned near the flight controller.

4. Disconnect the Old IMU Module
   Gently disconnect the ribbon cable and unscrew any screws securing the IMU module in place. Use tweezers if necessary to manage small parts.

5. Install the New IMU Module
   Insert the replacement IMU module and secure it in place with screws. Ensure the ribbon cable is properly connected.

6. Reassemble the Drone
   Carefully reattach the casing of the drone, ensuring that all clips are secure and there are no loose parts.

7. Power On the Drone
   Reinsert the battery and power on the drone. Perform a calibration check to ensure the new IMU module is functioning correctly.

8. Test Flight
   Conduct a brief test flight to ensure that the drone is stable and that the performance has improved.
