Installation Instructions for Marine Throttle Position Sensor (Compatible with 30hp, 40hp, 50hp, 60hp Outboard Models from 2003 to 2014)

Tools Required:

1. Adjustable wrench
2. Phillips screwdriver
3. Flathead screwdriver
4. Torque wrench (if applicable)
5. Needle-nose pliers
6. Electrical tape

Installation Steps:

1. Preparation:

   • Ensure the outboard engine is turned off and cool to avoid burns or injuries.
   • Disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical hazards during installation.

2. Remove the Old Throttle Position Sensor:

   • Locate the existing throttle position sensor on the outboard motor.
   • Use the adjustable wrench or screwdriver to carefully remove any screws or bolts securing the old sensor.
   • Disconnect the electrical connector from the old sensor by gently pulling it apart. You may need to use needle-nose pliers for assistance.

3. Install the New Throttle Position Sensor:

   • Take the new throttle position sensor out of the packaging and ensure it matches the old one.
   • Connect the electrical connector to the new sensor, making sure it is secure.
   • Align the new sensor with the mounting holes on the engine and secure it using the screws or bolts you removed earlier. Ensure all connections are tight, using a torque wrench if specified in your engine's manual.

4. Reconnect the Battery:

   • Once the new sensor is securely installed, reconnect the battery and ensure the connections are firm.

5. Testing:

   • Start the engine and check for any warning lights or irregular performance.
