Product Installation Instructions for Maintenance Box Chip Resetter

Compatible Printer Models: L6178, L6198, L6170, L6190, L6191, L6260, LC6270, L6290, L6490

Tools Required:
-Maintenance Box Chip Resetter
-Compatible Printer

• (Optional) Soft cloth for cleaning the printer contacts

Installation Steps:

1. Turn Off the Printer
   Ensure your printer is turned off and unplugged from the power source for safety.

2. Locate the Maintenance Box
   Open the printer cover and locate the maintenance box. It is usually found at the side or back of the printer.

3. Remove the Maintenance Box
   Carefully remove the maintenance box from the printer. Avoid touching the contacts directly to prevent any damage.

4. Prepare the Chip Resetter
   Take the Maintenance Box Chip Resetter out of its packaging. Make sure it is clean and free from any dust.

5. Reset the Chip
   Align the maintenance box with the chip resetter. Gently press the maintenance box onto the resetter until you hear a confirmation click. Hold it in place for a few seconds.

6. Check the Reset Confirmation
   The LED indicator on the chip resetter will show a signal (if applicable), indicating the chip has been successfully reset.

7. Reinstall the Maintenance Box
   Carefully place the maintenance box back into its position within the printer.

8. Reconnect and Turn On the Printer
   Plug the printer back into the power source and turn it on. Check if the printer recognizes the reset maintenance box.

9. Test the Printer
   Print a test page to ensure that the printer is functioning correctly.
