Oil Filter Installation Instructions

Required Tools:

• A suitable wrench or socket wrench to loosen the oil filter
• A rag or paper towel to clean any spills
• New oil filter (BF 650 compatible)
• Oil filter wrench (if necessary)
• New oil filler cap (if necessary)

Installation Steps:

1. Locate the Oil Filter: Find the oil filter on your motorcycle, usually located on the engine or near the oil pan.
2. Loosen the Oil Filter: Use a wrench or socket wrench to loosen the oil filter by turning it counterclockwise. Be prepared for any spills.
3. Remove the Old Filter: Once loose, remove the old oil filter by hand or with a filter wrench. Be careful not to spill any remaining oil.
4. Install the New Filter: Place the new oil filter on the engine and hand tighten it in a clockwise direction.
5. Tighten the Filter: Use a wrench or socket wrench to tighten the oil filter an additional 1/2 to 3/4 of a turn after hand tightening.
6. Replace the Oil Filler Cap: If you removed the oil filler cap, replace it securely.
7. Dispose of the Old Filter: Properly dispose of the old oil filter.
