Preparation

Before starting the installation, ensure you have the following tools and materials:

• New brake rotor (220mm 5 Hole ABS Front Brake Rotors for PCX125 PCX160)
• Socket wrench or ratchet and socket (10mm and 12mm)
• Torx screwdriver (T20)
• Pliers or punch
  *Safety glasses
  *Clean rag
• Brake cleaner (optional)

Step 1: Loosen the Old Brake Rotor

1. Locate the old brake rotor and loosen the caliper bolts using a 10mm socket wrench or ratchet and socket.
2. Remove the caliper by pulling it straight off the rotor. Be careful not to damage any brake hoses or electrical connectors.

Step 2: Remove the Old Brake Rotor

1. Remove the old brake rotor from the hub by pulling it straight off.
2. Take note of any washers or spacers that may be present.

Step 3: Install the New Brake Rotor

1. Place the new brake rotor onto the hub, ensuring it is properly seated and aligned.
2. Replace any washers or spacers from the old rotor.

Step 4: Reinstall the Caliper

1. Slide the caliper back over the new brake rotor, ensuring it is properly seated and aligned.
2. Tighten the caliper bolts using a 10mm socket wrench or ratchet and socket in a star pattern.

Step 5: Bleed the Brake System

1. Use a brake bleeding kit to remove any air from the brake system.
2. Pump the brake pedal several times to prime the system.

Step 6: Test the Brakes

1. Test the brakes by applying gentle pressure to the brake pedal.
2. Check for any unusual noises, vibrations, or spongy feel.

Tips and Reminders

• Always use a torque wrench to tighten bolts to the specified torque value.
• Make sure to dispose of any hazardous materials responsibly.

• Regularly inspect and maintain your brake system to ensure optimal performance and safety.
