  1. Preparation: Ensure the motorcycle is on a stable stand. Disconnect the battery for safety. Remove any necessary components such as the seat and side panels to ac cess the engine.

  2. Remove the Old Piston:

    • Drain the engine oil if necessary.
    • Remove the cylinder head and cylinder as needed.
    • Carefully detach the old pin from the connecting rod by removing the wrist pin.
  3. Install the New Piston:

    • Apply a thin coat of engine oil to the new piston and piston rings to ensure lubrication.
    • Using a piston ring compressor, carefully install the piston rings onto the piston. Ensure the rings are seated properly and the gaps are aligned as per specifications.
    • Insert the piston into the cylinder, making sure it is oriented correctly (usually marked with an arrow on the piston indicating the front of the engine).
  4. Reattach the Connecting Rod:

    • Align the connecting rod with the new pin and secure it by re-inserting the wrist pin. Use proper torque to tighten.
  5. Reassemble the Engine:

    • Once the piston is securely installed, reattach the cylinder and cylinder head.
    • Follow the manufacturer’s torque specifications for all bolts to ensure they are tightened correctly.
  6. Final Checks:

    • Recheck all connections and ensure everything is secured properly.
    • Refill the engine with oil if you drained it and reconnect the battery.
  7. Start the Engine:

    • Start the motorcycle and let it idle to ensure proper operation. Check for any leaks or unusual sounds.
