Steps for Changing the Oil
Warm Up the Engine: Start your bike and let it run for a few minutes to warm up the oil. This will help it drain better.
Turn Off the Engine: Once warmed, turn off the engine and allow it to cool slightly.
Prepare the Work Area: Position your oil drain pan under the engine to catch the old oil.
Remove the Oil Drain Plug: Using the socket wrench, carefully loosen and remove the oil drain plug. Allow the old oil to completely drain into the pan.
Change the Oil Filter (if necessary): If your bike has an oil filter, use the oil filter wrench to remove the old filter. Install the new oil filter, ensuring it’s tightened securely.
Replace the Drain Plug: Once all old oil has drained, replace and tighten the oil drain plug with your socket wrench.
Add New Oil: Using a funnel, pour the recommended amount of Compatible Oil into the engine through the oil fill cap.
Check Oil Level: Start the engine and let it run for a minute. Turn it off and check the oil level with the dipstick, adding more oil if necessary.
Clean Up: Properly dispose of the old oil and any used filters, and clean any spills using rags or paper towels.
Final Checks: Recheck the oil level one last time to ensure it is at the correct level.
By following these steps and using the appropriate tools, you can efficiently and effectively change the oil in your K-TM model, helping to maintain optimal performance and engine longevity.
