Fuel Pump Installation Instructions for Motorcycles

Compatibility

This fuel pump is designed specifically for the 125, 200, and 390 RC and DUKE models manufactured from 2014 to 2016.

Tools Required

Before beginning the installation, please ensure you have the following tools on hand:

• Flat-head screwdriver
• Phillips screwdriver
• Wrench set (8mm and 10mm)
• Socket set
• Pliers
• Fuel line clamp tool (optional)
• Safety goggles
• Gloves
• Shop towel or rag

Installation Steps

1. Safety First:

   • Ensure the motorcycle is on a stable surface.
   • Use safety goggles and gloves to protect yourself during the installation process.
   • Disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical issues.

2. Remove the Seat:

   • Use the appropriate screwdriver to remove any screws holding the seat in place.
   • Gently lift and remove the seat to access the fuel tank.

3. Drain the Fuel:

   • If there is fuel remaining in the tank, use a siphoning method or a fuel extraction tool to drain the fuel safely.

4. Remove the Fuel Tank:

   • Disconnect the fuel lines from the tank using pliers or a fuel line clamp tool.
   • Unscrew any bolts holding the fuel tank in place using the wrench or socket set.
   • Carefully lift the fuel tank off and set it aside.

5. Locate and Remove the Old Fuel Pump:

   • Find the fuel pump located inside the tank.
   • Disconnect any electrical connectors attached to the old pump.
   • Use the appropriate screwdriver or wrench to unscrew and remove the old fuel pump from its housing.

6. Install the New Fuel Pump:

   • Insert the new fuel pump into the housing.
   • Ensure it is seated properly and securely.
   • Reconnect any electrical connectors that were removed.

7. Reattach the Fuel Tank:

   • Carefully place the fuel tank back onto the motorcycle.
   • Secure it in place using the bolts previously removed.
   • Reconnect the fuel lines, ensuring a snug fit to prevent leaks.

8. Reinstall the Seat:

   • Place the seat back and use the screwdriver to secure it in place.

9. Reconnect the Battery:

   • Reconnect the battery and ensure all connections are tight.
