Product Installation Instructions for Piston Kit

Compatibility:
This piston kit is specifically designed for 56mm 140cc and 150cc pit dirt bike engines, compatible with various motocross models.

Installation Instructions:

1. Preparation:

   • Ensure the bike is on a stable surface and secure the bike to prevent movement.

2. Tools Required:

   • Socket set (with ratchet)
     -Torque wrench
   • Screwdrivers (flathead and Phillips)
     -Piston ring compressor
     -Pliers
   • Engine gasket scraper
     -Clean rags
   • Oil (for lubrication during installation)
   • Safety goggles and gloves

3. Steps to Install:

   • Remove Engine Cover: Use a socket to remove the bolts securing the engine cover.

   • Drain Oil: Make sure to drain the oil from the engine to prevent spills during disassembly.

   • Take out the Cylinder Head: Remove the cylinder head bolts and carefully lift the head off. Keep track of the order of the bolts for reassembly.

   • Remove the Old Piston: Detach the connecting rod from the old piston by removing the circlip using pliers. Pull the piston out of the cylinder.

   • Clean the Cylinder: Use a gasket scraper to remove old gaskets and debris. Clean the cylinder with a rag.

   • Install New Piston: Lubricate the new piston and piston rings. Use a piston ring compressor to compress the rings and guide the piston into the cylinder.

   • Reconnect the Connecting Rod: Slide the connecting rod back onto the new piston and insert the circlip to secure it.

   • Reattach Cylinder Head: Place the cylinder head back on and tighten the bolts in the correct sequence, using a torque wrench to ensure proper tightness.

   • Install Engine Cover: Replace the engine cover and secure it with the appropriate bolts.

4. Final Steps:

   • Fill the engine with oil.
   • Check for any leaks or loose bolts.
   • Start the engine and allow it to idle to ensure everything is functioning correctly.

   Always wear safety goggles and gloves during installation to protect yourself from debris and sharp objects.
