Tools Needed:

1. Socket wrench set (including appropriate size sockets)
2. Torque wrench
3. Screwdrivers (flathead and Phillips)
4. Oil filter wrench (if applicable)
5. Pliers

6. Oil catch pan
7. New oil (as per motorcycle specifications)

Installation Steps:

1. Preparation:

   • Ensure the motorcycle is parked on a flat surface and is stable.
   • Allow the engine to cool if it has been running recently.

2. Drain Old Oil:

   • Place the oil catch pan under the oil pan.
   • Remove the oil drain plug using the appropriate socket wrench and allow the old oil to completely drain into the pan.

3. Remove Old Oil Strainer:

   • Locate the old oil strainer.
   • Carefully remove it, using an oil filter wrench if necessary, ensuring that no debris falls into the engine.

4. Clean the Area:

   • Use a clean cloth or rag to wipe the oil strainer mount to remove any old oil residue and debris.

5. Install New Oil Strainer:

   • Take the Universal Motorcycle Oil Strainer and align it with the mount.
   • Secure it in place by hand-tightening. Use the torque wrench to ensure it’s tightened to the manufacturer’s specifications.

6. Replace Drain Plug:

   • Reinstall the oil drain plug and tighten it securely using the socket wrench.

7. Refill Engine Oil:

   • Remove the oil filler cap and pour in new oil using a funnel to avoid spills.
   • Refer to your motorcycle's manual for the correct oil capacity.

8. Check for Leaks:

   • After replacing the oil strainer and refilling oil, start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
   • Check around the oil strainer and drain plug for any leaks.

9. Final Touches:

   • Once confirmed there are no leaks, turn off the engine and replace the oil filler cap securely.
   • Dispose of the old oil and oil strainer in an environmentally safe manner.
