Product Installation Instructions for Front Fork Oil Seal Dust Cover

Tools Required:

1. Socket Wrench Set

   • To remove and securely fasten bolts.

2. Screwdriver Set

   • Flathead and Phillips screwdrivers for various screws.

3. Torque Wrench

   • To ensure bolts are tightened to the manufacturer’s specifications.

4. Pliers

   • For gripping and handling components as needed.

5. Cleaning Cloth

   • To clean the fork area before installation.

6. Lubricant

   • To apply on seals for easier installation and better performance.

Installation Steps:

1. Preparation:

   • Ensure the motorcycle is parked on a level surface and the engine is off.
   • Put on safety goggles and gloves.

2. Remove the Front Wheel:

   • Use the socket wrench to loosen and remove bolts holding the front wheel in place. Carefully take the wheel off and set it aside.

3. Clean the Fork Area:

   • Use the cleaning cloth to wipe down the fork tubes, removing any dust and debris.

4. Remove the Old Dust Covers:

   • If applicable, carefully pry off the old dust covers using a flathead screwdriver. Be cautious not to damage the fork beneath seal.

5. Install New Dust Covers:

   • Apply a small amount of lubricant to the new dust covers.
   • Position each dust cover over its respective fork leg and gently push it into place ensuring a snug fit.

6. Reattach Front Wheel:

   • Carefully reposition the front wheel, aligning it with the fork legs.
   • Tighten the bolts using the socket wrench, ensuring to follow the manufacturer’s specified torque settings with the torque wrench.

7. Final Check:

   • Inspect the installation to ensure everything is securely in place.
   • Take the motorcycle for a short test ride to ensure proper functioning.
