Product Installation Instructions for Compatible Motorcycle Oil Filter
Compatibility:
This oil filter is designed for use with the following motorcycle models: CF700-2, 400NK, 650NK, 400GT, 650GT, 650TR, 650MT, and more.
Tools Required:
Before you begin the installation process, make sure you have the following tools on hand:
Socket Wrench Set:
To loosen and tighten bolts or nuts.
Oil Filter Wrench:
To help remove the old oil filter easily.
Funnel:
To avoid spills when pouring new oil into the engine.
Drain Pan:
To collect the old oil during the oil change process.
Rags or Paper Towels:
For cleaning any spills and wiping hands.
Torque Wrench:
To ensure that the bolts are tightened to the recommended specifications.
Replacement Oil:
Ensure you have the correct type and amount of oil for your motorcycle model.
Installation Steps:
Prepare Your Motorcycle:
Park your motorcycle on a level surface and allow the engine to cool.
Drain the Old Oil:
Place a drain pan under the oil pan, remove the oil drain plug using a socket wrench, and let the old oil fully drain out.
Remove the Old Oil Filter:
Use the oil filter wrench to unscrew the old oil filter. Be careful as some old oil may still be in the filter.
Prepare the New Oil Filter:
Before installing the new oil filter, apply a small amount of new oil to the rubber gasket on the top of the filter. This helps ensure a proper seal.
Install the New Oil Filter:
Screw on the new filter by hand until it’s snug. Avoid over-tightening.
Reinstall the Drain Plug:
Reinstall the oil drain plug and tighten it using a torque wrench to the manufacturer's specifications.
Add New Oil:
Use a funnel to pour new oil into the engine, checking the owner's manual for the correct amount and type.
Check for Leaks:
Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Check around the oil filter and drain plug for any signs of leakage.
Dispose of Old Oil and Filter:
Properly dispose of the old oil and filter at a recycling center or a service that handles hazardous waste.
