Installation Steps:

  1. Preparation:

    • Place your motorcycle on a stable, level surface and support it with a motorcycle stand.
    • Ensure that the front wheel is off the ground for easier access to the fork assembly.
  2. Remove the Front Wheel:

    • Use a socket wrench to loosen and remove the axle nut.
    • Carefully slide the axle out and remove the front wheel.
  3. Remove the Fork Assembly:

    • Locate the bolts that secure the fork legs to the motorcycle frame.
    • Use the socket wrench to remove these bolts and gently detach the fork assembly from the motorcycle.
  4. Access the Oil Seal and Dust Cover:

    • Once the fork assembly is free, clean the area around the oil seal and dust cover with a clean rag.
    • Use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry off the old dust cover, taking care not to damage surrounding components.
  5. Install the New Dust Cover:

    • Take the new Front Fork Oil Seal Dust Cover and ensure it is the correct size and compatible with your motorcycle model.
    • Place the new dust cover in position and press it firmly into place until it is seated properly.
  6. Reassemble Fork Assembly:

    • If necessary, replace the oil seal before reassembling the assembly.
    • Reattach the fork assembly to the motorcycle frame and secure it with the removed bolts. Use a torque wrench to tighten to the specified torque.
  7. Reinstall Front Wheel:

    • Slide the front wheel back into place and insert the axle.
    • Tighten the axle nut securely.
  8. Final Checks:

    • Inspect the installation to ensure everything is secure and correctly positioned.
    • Lower the motorcycle back to the ground and test the front suspension to ensure proper operation.
