Product Installation Instructions for Universal Oil Filter for Motorcycles

Compatible Models:
BN302, BN600, TNT300, TNT600, STELS300, STEL600, RK6, RKX 300 GT

Tools Required:

1. Socket Wrench Set - To remove the existing oil filter.
2. Oil Filter Wrench - To securely grip and turn the oil filter during installation.
3. Drain Pan - To catch any oil that may spill during the removal of the old filter.
4. Rags or Paper Towels - For cleaning any spilled oil and wiping surfaces.
5. Funnel - To assist in adding oil after the new filter is installed.
6. New Engine Oil - Ensure you have the correct type and quantity of oil for your motorcycle.
7. Gloves (optional) - To keep your hands clean while working with oil.

Installation Steps:

1. Preparation:

   • Start by parking your motorcycle on a stable surface and allowing the engine to cool down.
   • Place the drain pan under the oil filter area to catch any oil that may drain out.

2. Remove Old Oil Filter:

   • Use the socket wrench to loosen the oil drain plug and allow the old oil to drain into the pan.
   • Once drained, use the oil filter wrench to remove the old oil filter. Turn it counterclockwise until it is free.

3. Clean the Area:

   • Wipe the mounting surface of the oil filter with a rag or paper towel to remove any old oil and impurities.

4. Install the New Oil Filter:

   • Apply a small amount of new engine oil to the rubber gasket of the new oil filter. This helps create a good seal.
   • Screw the new filter onto the mount by hand, turning it clockwise until it is snug. Be careful not to overtighten.

5. Replace Oil Drain Plug:

   • Reinstall the oil drain plug and tighten it securely.

6. Add New Oil:

   • Using a funnel, pour in the appropriate amount of new engine oil through the oil fill cap.
   • Replace the oil fill cap securely.

7. Check for Leaks:

   • Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Check for any leaks around the new oil filter and drain plug.
   • Turn off the engine and recheck the oil level using the dipstick. Add more oil if necessary.

8. Cleanup:

   • Dispose of the old oil and filter properly in accordance with local regulations.
   • Clean any spills with rags or paper towels.
