Product Installation Instructions for Brake Pads Kit Set for PCX150 PCX160

Tools Required:

-Socket wrench set
-Torque wrench

• Flathead screwdriver
• Phillips screwdriver
  -Pliers
• Brake cleaner
  -Clean rags or paper towels
• Safety gloves
• Safety goggles

Installation Steps:

1. Preparation:

   • Ensure the scooter is parked on a flat surface and the engine is turned off.
   • Wear safety gloves and goggles to protect yourself during the installation process.

2. Removing the Wheel:

   • Using a socket wrench, remove the nuts/bolts securing the front/rear wheel.
   • Carefully lift the scooter and support it with a stand or blocks to prevent it from tipping over.

3. Removing Old Brake Pads:

   • Locate the brake caliper on the wheel you are servicing.
   • Use the appropriate screwdriver to remove the screws securing the brake caliper.
   • Gently slide the caliper off the rotor and remove the old brake pads.

4. Cleaning:

   • Use brake cleaner to clean the caliper and rotor surfaces. Wipe them down with clean rags or paper towels to ensure no debris remains.

5. Installing New Brake Pads:

   • Take the new brake pads from the kit and insert them into the caliper. Ensure they are seated properly.
   • Reattach the caliper over the rotor and secure it with the screws. Use a torque wrench to tighten them to the manufacturer’s specifications.

6. Reinstalling the Wheel:

   • Carefully reattach the wheel, ensuring it is aligned properly.
   • Tighten the nuts/bolts securely using the socket wrench.

7. Final Checks:

   • Once everything is installed, manually spin the wheel to ensure there is no rubbing.
   • Press the brake lever a few times to pump the brake pads into place and check brake responsiveness.

8. Testing:

   • After the installation is complete, take the scooter for a short test ride to ensure the brakes are functioning correctly.
   • Check for any unusual noises or performance issues.
