Installation Instructions for the 6 Pin Red CDI Ignition Box

Compatibility:
Suitable for a range of models from 50cc to 250cc, including 90cc, 110cc, 125cc, 150cc, 160cc, and 200cc dirt bikes, ATVs, and go-karts.

Tools Needed:

1. Phillips screwdriver
2. Flathead screwdriver
3. Wire cutters/strippers
4. Electrical tape
5. Multimeter (optional, for testing connections)

Installation Steps:

1. Safety First:

   • Ensure that the vehicle is turned off and is in a stable position before beginning the installation.

2. Remove the Old CDI Unit:

   • Locate the existing CDI ignition box on your vehicle.
   • Disconnect the old CDI by removing the wiring harness. Use the flathead screwdriver as needed to unscrew any mounting screws holding the CDI in place.

3. Prepare for Installation:

   • Inspect the wiring harness for any damage. If necessary, use the wire cutters/strippers to prepare the wires for clean connections.

4. Connect the New CDI Unit:

   • Align the new 6 Pin Red CDI unit with the wiring harness and plug it in. Ensure that each pin is properly connected and secured.

5. Secure the CDI Box:

   • If applicable, use the screws from the previous CDI to mount your new CDI in place. Ensure it is firmly secured.

6. Testing Connections:

   • Optional: Use a multimeter to check for continuity across the connections if needed. This step ensures that all connections are secure and functioning correctly.

7. Wrap the Connections:

   • Use electrical tape to wrap any exposed wires or connections to protect against dust and moisture.

8. Final Check:

   • Double-check all connections and ensure there are no loose wires before closing up the vehicle.

9. Power On:

   • Turn on the vehicle and test to ensure the new CDI is working correctly.
