Carburetor Replacement Instructions for MS362C and MS362CM Chainsaw

Tools Required:

1. Screwdriver (Phillips and flathead)
2. Socket wrench set
3. Pliers
4. Torque wrench
   5.Clean cloth or rag
5. Protective gloves

Installation Steps:

1. Safety First:

   • Ensure the chainsaw is turned off and disconnected from any power source.
   • Wear protective gloves to safeguard your hands from sharp edges and fuel.

2. Prepare the Work Area:

   • Find a clean, well-lit workspace.
   • Lay down a clean cloth to protect the chainsaw parts and your work surface.

3. Remove the Air Filter Cover:

   • Using the appropriate screwdriver, carefully remove the screws securing the air filter cover.
   • Remove the air filter to access the carburetor.

4. Detach the Carburetor:

   • Locate the screws or nuts that secure the carburetor in place.
   • Use the socket wrench to loosen and remove these fasteners.
   • Carefully detach any fuel lines connected to the carburetor, using pliers if necessary.

5. Install the New Carburetor:

   • Position the new carburetor in place, ensuring it aligns with the intake manifold.
   • Reattach the fuel lines securely, ensuring no leaks.

6. Secure with Fasteners:

   • Using the torque wrench, reattach the screws or nuts to secure the carburetor. Follow any torque specifications provided in the chainsaw's manual.

7. Reinstall the Air Filter:

   • Place the air filter back into its housing and reattach the air filter cover using the screws.

8. Final Check:

   • Inspect all connections to ensure everything is tight and secure.
   • Clean up any spilled fuel or debris from the work area.
