Product Installation Instructions for Compatible Front and Rear Brake Pads Kit for ZX10R ZX1000 ZX10RR Models (2016 to 2021)

Tools Required:

1. Socket Wrench Set - Ensure you have the correct size sockets for your motorcycle's caliper bolts.
2. Torque Wrench - For properly tightening the bolts to the manufacturer’s specifications.
3. Flathead Screwdriver - Useful for prying off the brake pad retaining clips, if applicable.
4. Pliers - To help with removing any clips or springs.
5. Brake Cleaner - To clean the caliper and rotor surfaces before installation.
6. Rags or Paper Towels - For cleaning purposes and wiping off excess brake cleaner.
7. Gloves - To keep your hands clean and protect against brake dust.
8. Optional: Replacement Brake Fluid - In case you need to bleed the brake system during or after installation.

Installation Steps:

1. Preparation:

   • Make sure the motorcycle is on a stable surface and is securely supported, preferably using a motorcycle stand.

2. Remove the Wheel:

   • If necessary, remove the wheel to gain access to the brake caliper. Use the socket wrench to loosen and remove the axle nut.

3. Remove the Brake Caliper:

   • Use the socket wrench to unfasten the bolts securing the brake caliper to the mounting bracket. Carefully slide the caliper off the rotor.

4. Remove Old Brake Pads:

   • If applicable, remove the retaining clips using the flathead screwdriver or pliers. Take out the old brake pads from the caliper.

5. Install New Brake Pads:

   • Place the new brake pads into the caliper, ensuring they are oriented correctly. Reattach any retaining clips if necessary.

6. Reinstall the Caliper:

   • Slide the caliper back onto the rotor and secure it by tightening the caliper bolts to the manufacturer's specifications using the torque wrench.

7. Reinstall the Wheel:

   • If the wheel was removed, slide it back into place and secure the axle nut with the socket wrench.

8. Clean Up:

   • Use brake cleaner to clean any residue from the rotor and caliper. Wipe down any tools or surfaces that may have been contaminated.

9. Final Check:

   • Before riding, pump the brake lever a few times to seat the brake pads properly against the rotor. Check the brake fluid levels and bleed the brakes if necessary.
